Soft-touch bodywork for nervous system regulation. Alexander Technique-inspired, this non-invasive method supports a calm, dynamic and spacious reorganisation of the body.

who worked with me says

I had never tried a session like yours, so different from any massage I had experienced before and from any other holistic practice I had ever encountered in my life. What amazed me about the experience with you was your ability to combine thought and perception. You are truly talented, word of a skeptic! - Bianca

A deeply positive experience that I would recommend without hesitation. I arrived at the session after weeks of intense stress, during a period I can only describe as true depression, and I left feeling a sense of relaxation I hadn't felt in a long time. It’s as if this bodywork completely shifted the very rhythm of my thoughts. - Ludovica

A unique experience that conveys a sense of respect and warmth toward the receiver. The contact throughout the session was slow and deep, giving me the feeling of being welcomed without judgment, while instilling a sense of calm and lightness that stayed with me for daysLuna

Alexander Technique inspired

I'm A. T. teacher in training at Smartbody, Amsterdam.

This practice, developed in 1890 by F. M. Alexander, is a body re-education that improves how we react to physical stressors, inhabit our posture and relate to the world.

In my bodywork sessions, I combine A.T. soft and non-invasive touch to regulate the nervous system and improve a general sense of safety, internal space and rest, which can be especially useful during stressful and overwhelming periods.

Embodiment & experiential anatomy

During a somatic coaching session, you can practice feeling more centred and grounded. Thanks to embodiment, you can meet a life situation that keeps you busy while integrating functional elements from the Alexander Technique.

This session is especially useful if you want to "practice being who you want to be", if you're stepping into a new role in life and if you want to feel more connected to your body.

Systemic elements & spatial mapping

In a somatic coaching session, we'll map your situation physically and end the exploration with bodywork, so your body can integrate the steps you took more deeply.

You'll get in touch with different parts of yourself and get a wider perspective of your inner dynamics, seeing them clearly in space. Useful for the overthinkers and those great at intellectualising situations. Also helpful to bring clarity for a choice.

She gave an example of a woman who's in her body, and my body got to learn this from her.

Somatic approach

  • My practice focuses on somatic education and body awareness. If you have a specific diagnosis or are currently in medical/psychiatric care, please let me know when applying so we can ensure this work is the right fit for you.

  • Somatic approach doesn't substitute but can enrich and be synchronised with cognitive therapy. As the saying goes "knowledge is a rumour until it lives in a body".

  • Working somatically means getting out of the body-mind dualism and starting to consider yourself as a whole, connected being where every physical sensation, emotion, and thought informs each other continuously, as an integrated system.

Long story short

I hated intimate touch.

So of course, in winter 2019 I went to a training for youth workers by Ara en Moviment. Topic? Contact improvisation, experiential anatomy and BMC applied to education. If you're new to it, it's all about physical contact.

Somatics keep on changing my life.

After trying out all sorts of practices, I'm now studying Alexander Technique in Amsterdam, a practice that I love for its subtle, fine quality of touch and that I mix with other disciplines.

Influences

I've been exploring somatic practices with various teachers and methods, from CI or deep-dive intensive with Formless Arts, to introductory modules in Feldenkrais and Somatic Experiencing.

I worked as a somatic trainer at Olde Vechte Foundation (Netherlands), training & coaching centre for personal development, where I assisted at family constellation retreats and intensive programs on systemic approach.

I'm now offering 1:1 personalised sessions to prevent touch starvation, increase a sense of safety, regulate the nervous system and walk in life feeling more connected to our bodies.
